RWA Annual General Body Meeting held on 17 January 2016 at Radio Colony Kingsway Camp, New Delhi

Annual General Body meeting of RWA, Metro Staff Quarters, All India Radio & Doordarshan, Kingsway Camp, New Delhi-9  held at Old Community Centre, Radio Colony on 17 January, 2016. The  meeting was held in very auspicious & friendly atmosphere. Several resolutions/decisions have been passed in the meeting including taking of charge from previous RWA body. All present members have expressed their views/suggestions openly in the meeting.

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan at Metro Staff Quarter, Kingsway Camp, 02 October '14

A Safai Abhiyan under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan was started on 2 October 2014 at Metro Staff Quarter, All India Radio & Doordarshan Colony, Kingsway Camp by Shri O K Sharma, Presidents, RWA with other members of the RWA. There was high enthusiasm among members to undertake the safai works in the colony. It was also pledged by the members that every Saturday or Sunday residents of this colony will give one hour for safai abhiyan.  Brooming  on several areas near colony gate was done by the members. Ganesh Pooja Celebrated at Radio Colony (29 August - 7 September, 2014)

Lord Ganesh Pooja was celebrated by the residents of the colony at D6/5 staff quarter with great joy & happiness from 29 August-7 September, 2014.  Ganesh Murti was established in the colony during the pooja period.  Several events for children & women were organised in the colony during Pooja. Cultural events in the evening on 6 September was also organised in the colony, several food stalls & games stalls were set up by the different family members of the colony. Everyday Aarti & Pooja were performed by the residents. On 7th September, visarjan of Ganesh Murti was performed with great celebration & all rituals. Several family members  of the colony had participated in the Ganesh visrajan event. Many of them with kids had gone to the Vajirabad ghat for the Visrajan of Ganesh Murti.
