This is to inform all residents of AIR & DD Metro Staff Quarters, Kingsway Camp, Delhi that, Annual General Body meeting is scheduled to be held on 23-11-2013 at 03.30 PM in STIT Hostel to discuss the problems of residents, appointment of block Secretaries, Development of association and other important issues. AGM will also ratify results of recently held RWA Executive Body election. Therefore, it is requested to all the members of society to kindly attend the meeting as per the schedule. Note: Residents are also requested to kindly send their nomination for block Secretary of their respective blocks to undersigned on or before 22-11-2013.
First time, for the children of AIR & DD Metro Staff quarters, Kingsway Camp, Delhi, a moral, ethical & cultural values seminar was organised at the STIT hostel, Kingsway Camp on 15 November 2013 from 3 -5 pm. More than 60 children between age 7 years to 15 years of the colony were participated in the seminar. Two experts namely, Ms Ranjan Sehgal, from Paschim Vihar & Ms Vinita Gupta, from Gurgaon were invited to deliver the lecture on the topics. Two videos on the topics selected were also shown to the children during the class. All the children participated in the seminar had appreciated the programme and expressed their happiness after attending it. The seminar event was successful organised & managed by around 35 residents of the colony voluntarily. They managed all activities of the event effectively. Some major activities managed well by them were carrying the all children safely to the STIT hostel from colony, arranging logistics & snacks items for the children. Mr Raman Kumar invited the both speakers and motivated all colony residents to conduct such events regularly for learning the children with moral, cultural & ethical values in their life. This may also help them to become a responsible citizen of the nation. Some of the colony residents who participated voluntarily while organizing the seminars successfully were, Raman Kumar, N K Sharma, Rakesh Kumar, Laxman Singh, Onkar Sing, Rajan Gupta, Rajesh Bhatt, D S Rana, R S Sengar, Dashrath Prasad, Kavindra, S P Kohli, Ashwani, Sanil, Anirudh Gupta, Leeladhar & many others.

A Chhath Pooja was organised at Metro Staff Quarter, All India Radio & Doordarshan, Kingsway Camp on 8th & 9th November 2013. First time six families of the colonies have performed the Pooja together at the top roof of D3 block. Artificial pond was created with bricks & plastics to store water & perform the Pooja. All families of the colonies were invited to attend the event. Many families participated in Pooja, many of them from other than the Bihar & UP states. For them it was first time experience to participate in the Chhath Pooja. Chhath Pooja is a most popular festival of Bihar & eastern UP. All families participated in Pooja celebrated it with great joy. About 100 family members were distributed the Prasad after Pooja on 9th November morning.
